What is Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)?
Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) gives you another avenue for overcoming your dependence to alcohol or drugs through the use of doctor-prescribed medications, such as suboxone or vivitrol injections. MAT works in conjunction with other forms of therapy such as counseling, group therapy, and behavioral therapy.
We utilize MAT to help patients recover from dependence to opioids, such as heroin and prescription pain relievers. We can also use it for other types of dependence depending on your specific condition.
